Brie came home a little over a week after River, apparently I couldn’t resist another show potential by SG Castle Rock Cleveland Sage +BS. With the firm expectation that she would be shown, we ventured into the show ring. Brie took RGCH Jr to River (when she took BIS). With me handling this time, at 6 months old and 2 shows later, Brie earned her own Best Junior Doe in Show. As a yearling, first freshener she easily placed first in EVERY single ring she walked in, aside from the National show, where she made the first cut, and then placed 6th. Later that day, Brie was shown in the Senior Get of Sire group where they took second place. In the Fall of 2015, she was awarded the Superior Genetics designation, as was her sire.

Brie has great body capacity, strong feet & legs, and a smoothly blended topline. She freshened with a gorgeous udder, strong medial, high rear udder, properly placed, long and easy to express teats. She regularly milked over 4 pounds in a day and her milk star was made official at a one day test.  She would have easily earned it with the 305 day test as well, and ranked in the 94st percentile in 2016, nearly missing the Elite Doe Status by 1%.  In addition to being a great milker, she has a great personality. Brie is very chatty,  attacks you with kisses and cuddles, which has made her so enjoyable to be around. We look forward to her show career as a Champion Challenger, as the past 4 generations are all champions  on her maternal side!

Sire: SG Castle Rock Cleveland Sage +BS 2015 & 2016 Elite Buck (Castle Rock Tanzanite B *S x SGCH-ARMCH CRF Castle Rock Alum Root 3D VEEE 91)

Dam: CH CRF Castle Rock Moon River 3D +EEE 88 (Rosasharn’s TL Sitka Spruce *S x SGCH-MCH Castle Rock Once Ina Blue Moon 2D)

On 3/11/2014 I brought home the smartest doe born at Castle Rock Farm during the 2014 kidding season. Her older, full sister, SGCH Castle Rock Moon Beam EEEE 92 stood second to the National Reserve Champion in 2015 . Her litter mate brother Castle Rock Moon Raker was retained by CRF, and is throwing some great kids. While her blue eyes are charming, she’s more than that, she took Best Junior Doe in Show, at not even 4 months old against 116 other does. and earned both unrestricted legs as a 2 year old, second freshener, making her our second ADGA finished champion.  She has been commended for her nearly ideal topline, both standing and on the move. Tremendous body capacity for her age and balance, while maintaining dairy strength and sharpness. An impressive mammary with a gorgeous rear udder, both high and full, with exceptional attachments, a strong medial, with well defined teats, ideal for hand milking. When she took Best Udder in Show, it was for that mammary system, plus incredible udder texture, that milks out like a dream. She is my favorite doe to hand milk. Her production is extrememly consistent, regardless of showing, back to back, 6 long weekends in a row.  Brains, beauty, and dairy strength.  She too, earned her milk star as a yearling, her Superior Genetics designation as a two year old, has been a delight in the milk room and show ring.
